Shipping materials
-Lowes MEDIUM size BOX. 18x18x16
-Roll of bubble wrap.
-Shipping tape
-Grocery store paper bags/void fill (DO NOT USE PACKING PEANUTS)
1. Remove the three metal mounting studs on the bottom of each light. VERY IMPORTANT to prevent damage to housing when shipping. (if your lights have different quantities of shims on these mounts take note of which stud goes where).
2. Remove the harness from each headlight unless you are adding halos. (to do this remove the metal clip under the DRL bulb holding the wire in place. Unclip the harness from the headlight. Twist and remove the DRL bulb from the headlight.)
3. Wrap both Headlights in a DECENT AMOUNT of bubble wrap on all sides. (The headlights should fit perfect in the box, if not you have either used too much bubble wrap or too little.)
4. Place the first headlight in the box lens side up.
5. Place the second headlight in the box lens side down opposite of the other light (like a pair of shoes in a shoebox.)
6. The headlights should be fitted in place and not have room to move around. If there is a substantial amount of space on the sides, stuff with material so the lights do not move around.
If you fail to use enough void fill or stuffing in the box, your projector clips could break and will need to be replaced. (about $6 per clip plus shipping)
7. The box should be fitted so the lights do not move around but not completely OVERSTUFFED.
8. Tape the box up good and use UPS (USPS and FedEx are too hard on the boxes) I always put 900 worth of insurance with UPS on each set of lights just in case.
